21:25:25 Red_Steel found himself stranded just outside the city, his power haveing failed out of the blue. Red Steel would be kneeling down as Rick inspected a problem and hopefully awaited assistance from the city. Rick would be fiddling around with the compact battery utterly confused to what the problem was, but continued to try. "Damn! Where's that damn lift I called for!" he cursed to himself as he slammed his wrench down in frustration. Rick would be wearing black baggy pants and a grey sweat stained tanktop as he continued to work. "C'mon! what does it take to get some service around here!" he cursed again jumping down to the cockpit where he pulled out a small duffle bag and revealed a bottle of water wich he quickly chugged and sprayed a bit on himself. "Man it's hot!" he cursed again, moving to stand on Red Steel's head to see if he could see anything in the distance.
21:29:53 Physalis . The intermittent sounds of a warning raid-horn would bellow throughout the entire desert area as something began to descend from above. It was either too far, or too shrouded at this point in time to clearly see it, but what you would be able to gather, is that whatever this thing was, it was massive. It landed in the distance, and the setting sun caused it to appear as nothing more than a silouhette. The raid-horns would abrubtly stop - the last warning echoing in all directions as was seemed like steam rose slowly from the colossal entity. For a very long while, it didn't move. Giving you the impression that whatever was about to happen had seized. Gears the faint, yet encroaching sound of roaring machinery became evident, and if you looked very closely, the shoulders of the beast would rise and dip slowly...it was walking directly towards the downed mobile suit.
21:39:38 Red_Steel jumpped slightly as the sirens sounded from the city. "Oh great...that cant be good." he mumbled to himself as he watched the thing decend. Rick continued to watch for a moment or two, before noticing the craft was coming straight for him. "Yup, not good. C'mon you piece of...!" he yelled kicking the reactor in mid scream. When he kicked it it rumbled and slowly hummed to life. "Oh great!" he said, elated as he jumped into his cockpit, closed the hatch and started things up. The lights and inner workings slowly flickered to life as Red Steel slowly rose to its feet. Rick then turned to face the incoming craft and tried to reach it via commlink. "Hello out there...heh...if your the guy that supposed to be giveing me a lift, I'm fine now. You can go home now, thanks." he would say nervously, not really wanting to get into a fight right now, especially not after he just got Red Steel fixed.
21:45:56 Physalis "..." he said nothing in repsonse, but the faint sound of airy breathing could be heard. It sounded as though whoever was piloting the craft was currently wearing a life-support system - common utility when piloting in space. With a boom, it stopped in it's tracks no more than 30 meters away. [Scanning....] showed on his front display, and after a long moment of silence, stats would begin rolling down the screen. "...Why do you pilot that mobile suit." said a voice masked by some type of vocal transmitter. The heatwaves around it would slowly dissipate over time to some extent, considering the current tempurature of the area.
21:51:32 Red_Steel listened for a moment, only hearing breathing on the other end. Rick's hands were at the ready, poised to move at a moments notice. "Why? 'cause its better than the rickety old jet I used to pilot." he would say with a friendly, yet still nervous laugh. "Why do you pilot that mobile suit?" he would ask in return, still ready to move at a moments notice, his fingers on the triggers.
21:57:55 Physalis "..." another long pause, the only sound being that occassional hissing intake of fresh air. "...Dreams." he'd say, his voice sounded tired and whining, like the last words of a dying man. Gears the suit would resume it's journey towards the other mobile suit, the ground trembling with each slow step. His path was true, and he wouldn't stop until he was close enough to reach out and pick the other suit up off of it's feet. Surely he didn't do so. Instead, it stood there quietly, towering over the other machine, and bent in, so that the green eyes of the Physalis aligned with those of the other gundam. "What do you seek to accomplish." broke the silence.
22:06:52 Red_Steel waited in the scilence momentarily, reciveing the word 'dreams' as the mans reply. "Dreams huh?" he would say quietly to himself, then all fell silent again. Rick would stand still, determined not to move as the other approached him. Though the closer he got the more nervous Rick got, his chance of dodging anything at this range being slim to none. "Accomplish? hah, I'm a Mercenary - I go where they pay me to go." he said leaving out the detail that he would only work for the EUSA or their allies. "Right now I'm off the job though." he said - which was true enough as well, trying to stress the point to this man that Rick was not here for a fight, he was technically neutral as of now.
22:16:40 Physalis - Roaring machinery as soon as the word 'mercenary' was spoken. Standing tall once again, the Physalis would emit that air-raid, and although this man might not realize it instantly, it was a signal to clear the small area around the suit before anything happened. Shoulder verniers jutted out into place and white-hot energy began to propell the thing slowly into the sky. By the time is feet would be at the other gundams head, he stated "...There will come a day, when all that you know is turned, twisted and wrought into chaos...on that day...You must remember who your enemies are, and where you stand in this reality we call life...You must know. Or you will die." the sands where he once stood parted in all directions until he was too far out of range to affect them any longer.
22:22:40 Red_Steel immediately hit the thrusters and lept backwards to a safe distance as soon as the sirens sounded. Rick had been waiting for any sudden movement from the stranger to jump back. Rick would had shouldered his rifle while in the leap back and had aimed it right at the gundam, though he didt not fire. This was only Rick's defenceive relfeces, he was ready to fire if need be. "...Riiiiight..." he would say quitely to himself as he waited, just waiting for the stranger to do something, though he still hoped for the best, that he would just leave with no conflict.
22:28:03 Physalis sat quietly in the rumbling cockpit, until the warning pretaing to the fact that he was being targetted alerted him. "...hm." he murmered, the comm link long disconnected. The distancing mobile suit made no gesture to attack. Perhaps both pilots knew the outcome of this potential battle, if it ever had been commenced. One day...I will have to destroy that mobile suit. I pray that the bonds formed when I do, are not fatally severed. he thought. It wasn't clear whether he entered orbit again, or simply waited for the proper alitude to fly off, but either way he was no longer a threat. The man had been wise to not recklessly charge into battle as so many others have. Maybe one day...
22:32:50 Red_Steel Stood still, the barrel of his rifle following the gundam as it flew away. Once it was out of sight, Rick let out a loud sigh and lowered the rifle. "Well, that was...interesting..." he would stay to himself, glancing back up to the sky before making his way back to the city for repairs. "Well, I'm going to get this POS reactor checked out." he said to himself as he made his way into the city, checking through the many various checkpoints before he was allowed to enter a hangar where, immediately, engineers rushed out to work.
